The Only Way Is Carbs

Sorry I said I'd blog yesterday but basically I was shattered and researching a lot of things...had a jobcentre workshop of death today which nearly destroyed me, too.

I lost 1.5lb this week. It's not as much as I'd like but it's still a loss. Disappointed. Of course, I feel that things have to change.

I talked to my consultant yesterday about how, basically, I'm scared to eat carbohydrates. I'm not eating balanced at all. The week was extremely poor due to not eating lunch monday-friday. She suggested to try to incorporate snacks, even if I can't make myself eat. I'm in the attitude now where I need to get the ball really rolling now - how can I do that without any sustenance? She's right!

Another option is I go on the plan that makes sure you have 1/3 fruit/veg, 1/3 meat, 1/3 carb. That is one thing I definitely need to change, and there are others which I want to as well, in order to get going now.

- Set myself rewards - the blog that inspired this one (I'll link you to it at the end) was about a girl who lost a SHEDLOAD of weight and now looks absolutely fantastic. She'd already lost a few stone before setting half-stone rewards. Rewards would include new clothes, exercise bike, ghds, photo frame to document her journey and the final reward (goal) included a commemorative necklace, hair coloured and belly button piercing.
Given that I have quite a bit of weight to lose, I already look at it as 'one half stone at a time', as do most of my Slimming World group. There are all sorts of things I want to do so this will spur me on further, especially if there's fitness equipment I want to get.

- Do the 'Extra Easy' plan - I'd still rather not involve many carbs but its worth the experiment if it means I'll lose more next week and if it boosts my energy in order to...

- Swim more - I've gone about 3 times in 2 weeks. Ideally I want to be going twice a week, to begin with. I can really feel it starting to affect me though, my stamina was definitely better when I went on monday.

- Revise a 7 day plan for both Original and Extra Easy plan - Slimming World thankfully don't throw you in at the deepend and have plans laid out. I need to look over it, and edit it of course, due to the fact I don't like cheese or bacon, but I need something that will boost my metabolism still.

-Put together a BPM-based fitness playlist - when I am a bit lighter I'm going to hit the cross trainer at full throttle. That's where this comes in, not during swimming obviously..

-Research Slimming World's Mug Shots - yeah, the reason I'm researching them is cos I don't really know what they are. Something to do with food. All in due course.

A wish list is clearly needed, will add that to the right hand side of my blog... Goals will also be added in due course when I've come up with some more...

On a more humorous note, for the select few who are still reading - my clothes are starting to fall down. Including the massive nanny boxers which is pleasing for my diet but oh so cringey!!

In the meantime, wish me luck for losing weight next week and swimming tomorrow!!

Til then xxx
